Design Statement:
This ultra contemporary and modern house is located high on the "bench" of the Wasatch Mountain Range over looking the Salt Lake City valley. The three-story design is a response to the moderately sloped site.
The 14,000 square foot residence consists of three components: the primary residence, guest quarters and indoor pool. A vertical stair tower element separates the main house from the guest quarters and pool building. The lower level accommodates large entertainment events with a fully equipped kitchen, a circular home theatre, indoor squash/basketball court with viewing area, and indoor pool. The main level accommodates the core house functions and the upper level provides the resident's bedroom suites.
The design features exterior circular elements, which are seamlessly integrated into the interior design for a strong sense of continuity. The three-story cylinder element includes the unique feature of curved glazing to fully capture the breathtaking views.
