Who is RBA?

1994
Our roots are in design. Founded as an architectural firm focused on office design our first clients included Nike (seven projects totaling 485,00 square feet) and AAA Washington (over 35 projects)
2000

Karl Kirchgasler joins as partner, bringing biotech/labs and education expertise to help a growing clientele.

RBA starts selling pre-owned furniture as part of its sustainable design solutions for our clients.

2007

RBA Furniture Solutions is created as a separate entity to allow it to grow and establish its own identity.

2018
Karl Kirchgasler retires.  RBA moves its office from Post Alley to north of Pike Place Market.
2020

The worldwide pandemic Covid19 hits Seattle, WA on 1/20/2020.  This is the first known case in the US. RBA starts fabricating sneeze guards and educating clients on strategy to minimize risk for those who had to be in the office.

RBA assists King County on numerous safety projects.  Projects include the elections facility, walk-in health clinics and courtroom facilities. Numerous companies turn to RBA to provide the same type of solutions.

2023

RBA begins helping companies move forward solving the hybrid office challenge.  By having both design and furnishings under one roof we are uniquely positioned to solve our client's challenges. Our workload has seen unprecedented office reconfiguration and furniture liquidation activity going on.

Our Clients

Leadership

Rodney Bauch, Principal

Rodney formed RBA in 1994 to pursue a goal of providing high quality design and service that would result in long term client loyalty. The result of that philosophy is a portfolio of clients who have retained us to design multiple projects. We were early embracers of sustainable design and continue that focus in both our design and furniture practice.

Ivory Campbell, Designer

Ivory is the companies slash-person. Interior designer, in-house production lead, furniture specifier, project manager, emergency installer...anything needed to complete a project.  Educated at the Art Institute of Seattle he has worked in the Seattle area and in previous positions has worked on projects for Amazon and Expedia.
